Assembly Steps
Unpack & Verify All Parts
Remove all packaging and lay out all components on a clean, flat surface. Confirm you have everything before starting.
- Main reformer frame (folded)
- Sitting box
- 2× shoulder rests
- Footbar assembly
- Rope & handle set
- Hardware bag (bolts, knobs, springs)
Unfold the Frame
With a second person holding the frame steady, carefully lower it from its vertical storage position until it lies flat on the floor. Engage all frame locking points and tighten all knobs firmly by hand. Check that the frame cannot fold or shift before continuing.
Do not proceed until all frame locks are confirmed tight.
Attach the Upright Support Posts
Insert both upright posts into their mounting brackets at the front end of the frame. Align the bolt holes, then use the drill to drive and tighten the bolts on each post. Finish with the Allen key to ensure a flush, rattle-free fit. Tug each post firmly — it should not wobble.
Install the Shoulder Rests
Place each shoulder rest onto its bracket on either side of the carriage. Insert the locking pin or hand-tighten the knob until fully seated. Rock each rest side-to-side to confirm it is locked.
A loose shoulder rest is a safety hazard.
Route the Ropes & Attach Handles
Thread each rope through the pulley system — from the carriage pulley out to the end pulleys on each side. Attach the handles to the rope ends. Pull both handles out fully and visually confirm the ropes are the same length and move smoothly without catching.
Uneven ropes will cause uneven resistance during exercise.
Connect the Springs
Hook each spring onto the spring bar according to your desired resistance level. Press each spring end until it clicks fully into its attachment point on both the bar and the carriage.
Check that every spring hangs straight without twisting or crossing over another spring.
Raise & Lock the Footbar
Lift the footbar to the operating position. Insert the locking pins at both pivot points until they click into place. Push the footbar firmly — it must not drop under pressure.
The footbar can be repositioned for height adjustments — always re-lock after adjusting.
Final Safety Check
Before use, run through this checklist. Do not use the reformer if any item fails.
- Frame fully open and all knobs tight
- Upright posts bolted and stable
- Both shoulder rests locked
- Ropes equal length, handles attached
- All springs fully seated, no twisting
- Footbar locked and holds under pressure
- Carriage rolls smoothly end to end
